I might say a few things differently today, but I think this paper is quite helpful for understanding “spiritual warfare” from a biblical perspective. Although there is debate to whether or not the Apostle Paul was the author of Ephesians, this paper assumes he was (although, that is inconsequential to the argument being made). It is also a possibility that this letter was penned by a Pauline disciple, to honor his legacy (not to manipulate or distort it) as was common in ancient practice.
